Redux doesn't do keynotes that feel like TED talks. We bring the people independent filmmakers actually need in the room — and we let them talk to each other. No barriers. No gatekeeping. Just access.
Why this matters
Speakers change careers at Redux.
For an independent filmmaker, one conversation with the right person can change everything. Redux curates its speaker program specifically to create those conversations.
01
Access you can't buy
The distributors, directors, and executives at Redux are not behind a badge wall. They are in the room with filmmakers. That accessibility is intentional — and it's rare.
02
Conversations, not lectures
Redux panels are small, intimate, and interactive. We limit panel sizes so real dialogue happens — not a one-way presentation. Filmmakers ask the questions that actually matter to them.
03
Industry that came to find something
Every industry guest at Redux came to Denver for a reason — they believe in independent cinema and they're looking for the next thing. That orientation changes everything about the energy in the room.
04
There are gems in the rough
Independent cinema has always been where the most important stories come from. The filmmakers at Redux are not waiting for permission. The speakers at Redux know that — and they show up to find them.
The Redux speaker difference
"The best thing about Redux is that the speakers actually came to see films — not just to speak. That changes the entire dynamic."

Speaker aspirations
The people we'd love in the room with you.
This is our aspirational speaker list — the voices we are actively pursuing for Redux Denver 2027. These names represent the type of conversation we are building this festival to create.
Note on this list
The names and categories below represent Redux's speaker aspirations for Year One — they are not confirmed attendees. Confirmed speakers will be announced March 15, 2027 alongside the official lineup. We pursue every name with intention — these aren't wishful thinking, they're outreach targets.
D
Distribution
An A24 Acquisition Executive
One of the most influential labels in independent cinema
A24 has redefined what independent film can do commercially and culturally. An acquisition executive from A24 in the POC pitch room would be transformative for every filmmaker in that room.
N
Streaming
A Netflix Original Content Executive
The world's largest streaming platform
Netflix has made independent film globally accessible. A development executive from Netflix at the POC Showcase is the kind of access that doesn't exist anywhere else at the independent festival level.
W
Writer / Showrunner
A Celebrated Black Showrunner
Creator of groundbreaking original series
Redux is committed to amplifying underrepresented voices. A Black showrunner with a track record of original series is both an inspiration and a practical guide for the filmmakers in the room.
I
Director
An Internationally Recognized Indie Director
Festival circuit veteran with distribution success
A director who started on the festival circuit and navigated to real distribution success — and can tell filmmakers exactly how they did it, what they'd do differently, and what's changed.
F
Financier
An Independent Film Financier
Backed multiple independent productions
The filmmaker who knows how to make a great film but doesn't know how to find the money for it is one of the most common stories at Redux. A financier who speaks honestly about what they fund changes that.
C
Press / Media
A Leading Film Critic or Entertainment Journalist
Covering independent cinema at national level
Press coverage is the oxygen of independent film. A critic or journalist who covers indie cinema can help filmmakers understand how to position their work for the media landscape they're entering.
Programming formats
How Redux speakers show up.
No panels with ten people who can't finish a sentence. Redux keeps its speaker programming intimate, structured, and filmmaker-first.
Format 01
The Conversation
One speaker, one moderator, 45 minutes. No PowerPoints. No slides. Just a real conversation about the work, the industry, and what filmmakers need to know. Audience Q&A follows.
Format 02
The Panel
Three to four voices from different parts of the industry. Structured, time-limited, moderated tightly so every panelist finishes their thought. Built around a specific filmmaker question — not a vague theme.
Format 03
The Workshop
A hands-on session limited to 20 filmmakers. Practical, specific, taught by someone who has done the thing they're teaching. Application required — spots are earned, not just claimed.
Format 04
The Mixer
No format. No agenda. Industry guests and filmmakers in the same room with drinks and time. Redux facilitates introductions — the rest is up to you. Every mixer has a theme that gives people something to talk about.
Format 05
The POC Pitch Session
Selected POC filmmakers present to a panel of buyers and distributors. Ten minutes per filmmaker. Real feedback. Real questions. Designed to be uncomfortable in the best possible way.
Format 06
The Office Hours
Selected industry guests hold 15-minute one-on-one sessions with filmmakers. Sign-up based. Limited slots. The most valuable 15 minutes a filmmaker will have at the festival.
